Adobe Illustrator/The White Halo Around My Logo

Question
Hello Kevin

I am having a problem with a 'White Halo' the surrounds the logo I had created in Adobe Illustrator CS3. I exported it as a gif, but then after I placed it on a none white background there's that nasty white halo.
Thank You

Answer
Hi Martin,

Try exporting it out as a PNG file instead. This maintains transparency but cleans up better than a gif file does. Ghosting is a common issue with gif files, and it really has to do with the export rather than your file. If these needs to remain a gif, when you save for web, make sure you select your transparent channel color.

Thanks

Kevin
