Adobe Illustrator/cut out a circle

Question
Hello,

i am new to illustrator and am just fighting my way through
my first work... i want to cut out a circular logo out of a
rectangular image (its simply a white background behind the
logo) and insert this round logo (without any white around
it) on top of another picture... i simply cannot get rid of
the white... Can you help me?

Answer
Hi Constanze,

I think that you will need to create tight clipping paths around the portions of the logos you want to mask.

Can you send me the files so I can see the logos you are using?

You can send them to me at AmyLynPace@yahoo.com

I will not share them with anyone =)

Expertise

I can help troubleshoot your Illustrator 9 through CS3 (and most CS4) problems and suggest the best way to get the results you need. Although I can help with some installation issues, my forte is prepress and how to use the tools and functions in the application itself.

Experience

I've been a graphic artist for over 20 years. Oh my God, 20 years.
