Adobe Illustrator/saving PDF

Question
QUESTION: im working on this ai file with few layers,
i want to save 2 of the layers in PDF format.

the thing is when i save the two layers, in pdf, only 1 of the layers will appear in the PDF format/file.

what i do wrong?

fyi,other than the 2 layers that i want to save as PDF, other layers i just view off

You need to save them out as separate PDF files for each layer.

Hi Wan,

You can combine the two PDFs into a two-page PDF file, or you can save this as a Layered PDF. If you want to retain the layers in one PDF doc, you will need to remove the unused layers or they will appear in the PDF. Next, when you save, in the PDF options dialogue box, you will need to choose Acrobat 8 or higher compatibility. This will maintain layers.
