Question
QUESTION: Can I open and modify a file made on A.illustrator CS3, in a computer with CS2
version?

ANSWER: Hi Federico,

If the file was saved as a native .ai file, .pdf or .eps you should be able to open in CS2, however you will lose any functions that are not available in CS2 from CS3.

Thanks

Kevin

QUESTION: Thanks so much Kevin. I will travel soon to china for work and I will take my
laptop with me. I have A.I. CS2 in my laptop. However, all my work made in
the office is made in CS3. Should I install CS3 in my laptop in order to work
with my CS3 files? When I open CS3 files in my laptop, some layers made be
together, or groups may not be able to ungroup. Is really hard to work with
CS3 files in an older version.

Answer
I would definitely install CS3 right away. There can be unforeseen errors when opening a newer version in CS2, and you may lose a lot of work depending on how they were created. As you said, it is hard to work on CS3 in an older version.

Thanks

Kevin
