Adobe Illustrator/Mac/PC compatibility

Question
Hello I am currently working at a company who needs me to convert my artwork
into cut files to put on t-shirts. I have AI CS4 for mac and I need to be able to
convert the file to work on an older PC. I know how to make it an earlier version,
I thought that was the problem, but it still won't work. Surely there has to be a
way to get the file to open on a pc could you help me?

Hi Kristin,

Illustrator files are completely compatible between Mac and PC versions if you save them properly. When you save out as AI or eps, be sure that the file extension is being added by the app (dont hide extensions) and that PC compatibility is turned on in the save dialog box.
