Adobe Illustrator - Illustrator CS3 gradients

Expert: Tom Rouze - 6/17/2009

Question
In Illustrator CS3, how can you make a gradient that is color to no color, (I.E. full color to transparent)?

Answer
Hi Zach,

All you have to do when creating the gradient is: In the gradient window you'll see little squares boxes under the gradient. if you click on one box you will see the color slider in the color window. If using spot color just move the slider in your color window to 0% of the color.

There are a few more steps. I just wanted to point you in the right direction before getting too involved. Let me know if you want more step by step.

I hope this helped.

Thank you,

Tom
