Question Hello, I'm working with Illustrator and Photoshop(CS3) and am trying to import a Photoshop document into Illustrator. The final product will be printed in 1 single pantone color. I've been told that when importing Photoshop documents into Illustrator, they always import as 4 color no matter what. Is this true? How can I ensure that my PSD file remains the same pantone color that the rest of my Illustrator files are in? Thanks! -Adam
Answer Hello Adam,
Here's one way to do it. Open the Photoshop file and convert to Grayscale. Save as .eps. Open Illustrator file and under File menu>Place your new .eps file. In Illustrator, with file still selected you can change to the Pantone color of your choice.
