Adobe Illustrator - Transform palette

Expert: Amy - 6/8/2009

Question
All of a sudden on my CS2 Adobe illustrator, the transform palette is missing
the reference point locator. HELP!

Answer
Any weirdness like that means it is time to delete your preferences.

Instructions for that are different depending on whether you are Mac or PC, but basically, you.

1 - Quit Illustrator
2 - Locate the file called AIprefs (PC) or Adobe Illustrator X.0 Prefs file (Mac, where X is a version #. It may be located in a hidden folder, so be sure to include hidden folders and system files when you do your search.
3 - Delete that file.
4 - Restart Illustrator.

That should fix it.
