Adobe Illustrator/Illustrator Grayscale

Question
Hello, I have a logo that is grayscale. I went to Filter, Colors and convert to grayscale. But the file at the top still has CMYK. I'm sending this off to print - how do I know it is grayscale or still CMYK??

Answer
Hi Shelly,

There is no Grayscale color more in Illustrator. You can create Grayscale art in CMYK mode. To double check and make sure that you have a true Black/Gray image, click on the image and look at the color palette. If your color show levels of K and not C, M, or Y you are good to go.

You can also print separations manually in the print dialog box at home to double check.

Thanks

Kevin
