Question
I would like to know how can I make a rectangle 16cm x 12mm and when I print the image be those exact dimensions? And if this is accomplished how do i send it to some to view and print with the same dimensions that does not have Adboe Illustrator?

Thank you for reading,

Answer
Hi Rick,

Take the rectangle shape tool and click once on your artboard (page). Then enter your dimensions  - you can enter different units of measure and Illustrator will resample to whatever your document is set to. You can choose any stroke or fill color you wish but the default is black stroke with white fill.

This will create your 16cm x 12mm rectangle.

You can save this out of Illustrator using File>Save As, as a PDF file. Anyone can open this using their web browser or the free Acrobat download.

Thanks

Kevin
