Question

Color Profile Issue
Hi Kevin,

My counterpart in the on-site worked on a art work in Illustrator on a Mac. When I open the same image on my Illustrator (Windows PC) there is a color difference. Both the images are created and opened in CMYK mode. I have attached an image for your reference. My counterpart tells me it is a Color Profile Issue. Some says it might be Gamma issue between MAC and PC.

Kindly give me you expert opinion. Thanks in anticipation.

regards
Newton.

Answer
Hi Newton,

Under Preferences>Color Profile your two settings should match exactly. If they do not, a color shift will occur. The Gamma deals with your monitor not your file itself. The Color Profile deals with the file settings.

Thanks

Kevin
