Adobe Illustrator/Find Font issue

Question
Good Morning --

I am having an issue with a Mac running AI CS2. When using the Find Font... command not all of the activated fonts are appearing under the "Replace with font from: System". We have tried:

restarting AI
restarting the computer
deactivating fonts
opening a completely different file
deleting AI preferences
deleting adobefnt*.LST files
opening sam file on different computer (works)

When the same computer opens the file in AI CS the issue is not there. The entire file list is showing in the character palette.

Please help! -- Thank you!

Answer
Hi Kristi,

How many fonts do you have installed on your computer? Are you using a font management app such as Suitcase or Font Xplorer?

If you have too many fonts loaded or have them installed in different locations, Illustrator may not be able to  find them. Try installing them in the fonts folder in the Illustrator App folder if you are not using a font mgr.

Thanks

Kevin
