Question
on the CS3 version of Ai how can i change the size of a text box that has already been written in with out changing the size of the font?

Answer
Hi Jo,

If you currently cannot change the size of the box only, that means that the text was input as a single line (clicking once on the artboard and typing) instead of using area text (clicking and dragging out a frame with the type tool then typing inside it).

To fix this you will need to recreate your text frame and copy and paste the original copy into it. This new frame will allow you to resize the box without changing the font size. There really is no other way to change this once it has been input.

Thanks
