Question
QUESTION: I am new to Illustrator and have CS4. I have a PDF where the text is black. I need to print this file with white text as it is going to be printed on black paper. When I try to change the text color from black to white in CS4 it just disappears. Thanks for any help.

ANSWER: Hi Tim,

Unless you have special white ink, you are not going to be able to print white text. Your text is there, it is just white text on a white background.

Thanks

Kevin

QUESTION: Kevin,

Thanks for the reply to my question. Yes we can print white as I have a Rastek T660 with the white option.

Answer
Not being familiar with this printer, the best advice I can give you is that your text is still there, its just on a white background. You can turn off your background and show a "transparency grid" by going to View>Show Transparency Grid. You should see your text then.

The rest would have to be set up using your printer, not Illustrator.

Thanks

Kevin
