Question
HI Kevin,

Please help!  Just as Randy noted, I have also been using CS2 for several years.  Just days ago it stopped working.  When I click to start it up, it gets stuck on "initializing" and I have to force quit.  I am on Mac 10.4.11 and I think this began after I downloaded an update.

Hi Martha,

What update did you run? Did you check for all available updates for the Mac and Adobe? Normally it is because of an incompatibility with another app, not necessarily Illustrator. If you can tell me more about what you updated, I may be able to help, but if you have run all Adobe and Mac updates, it may be necessary to reinstall if all else fails. I hate to tell people to do that, but CS2 is no longer supported, so finding new conflicts is harder to do.
