Adobe Illustrator/Illustrator CS3

Question

Errouneous Border Arou
When I add an outer glow, drop shadow, etc to a drawn item or a placed image within Illustrator CS3. I get a very thin erroneous "white border" some distance away from the effect. I cannot get rid of it, only adjust it's distance based on the blur setting. It is too noticeable, and I am always forced to delete the effect. I have tried searching for solutions and changed various settings within the respective effect, to no avail. (Window XP Pro, 300G drive, 4Gig RAM)

Answer
Hi Joe,

Double check your Document Raster Effects Settings (under Effects Menu). Make sure Transparent Background is selected and that you have the proper resolution chosen.

Also make sure you are using effects and not filters when creating these items.

Thanks
