Question
I have read the other questions, and they are no help. My problem is that when i use the black arrow tool to transform an object or paragraph or anything the bounding box for free transform does not show. My bounding boxes are on!!! so now i have to press E for the free transform tool, its driving me crazy. Help please!!!

Answer
Hi Blair,

The only reason you would not have the bounding box is if it is turned off in the View menu (if it says "Show Bounding Box" - it is off.) or you have hidden the edges (found in the same menu).

If you are certain that both the bounding box and edges are turned on, you can always reset the Illustrator preferences by holding down Shift+Ctrl+Alt (PC) or Shift+Cmd/Apple+Opt (Mac) to reset all your preferences back to factory defaults. This will force everything back on.

Thanks,

Kevin
