Adobe Illustrator/Clipping mask borders

Question
Hi, I'm trying to save a small ai file as jpg. I have a clipping mask on my design.
When I save it as JPG it comes up the size of the original pciture (without
clipping mask), and not the artboard size I have. Help please!

Answer
Hi Ariadna,

Saving as a bitmap image will always leave you with the overall size of your project even the clipped areas. A clipping mask is not a crop tool. It just hides the image. Try saving as a PNG. It will still have the overall image but it will maintain transparency. PNGs are web acceptable.

Thanks
