Hi, I was working on my illustrator file and all of a sudden now I can't create a perfect shape while I hold the shift key, and The key works fine while I type and everything. Did I deactivated something while playing around in the program?

I am unaware of any way to turn off the Shift key constrain In Illustrator. And since you already have made sure that the Shift key works normally otherwise I am at a loss. You didn't mention whether you were on a Mac or PC so these suggestions may or may not help.

Try restarting your computer, check to make sure your keyboard is not malfunctioning (by hooking up a different keyboard), check the Control Panel or System Preferences for settings that might affect the keyboard, try trashing Illustrator preferences (google Illustrator Preferences for methods) and please send this question on to other "experts".

Also try complaining loudly and listen for signs of laughter nearby in case someone is playing a cruel joke.
