Question
I'm working in Illustrator CS4 and having a problem with the margins. right, left and top are all at .25 but the bottom looks like it at .5
Please tell me how to change the page margins so the bottom doesn't cut off when I print.

Answer
Hi Jayme.

You don't set margins in Illustrator, actually. I believe you are looking at the printable area (called page tiling). The dimensions of the printable area are automatically determined by the printer page size you have chosen in Edit > Print Presets or in Print.

You can create Guides to use as margins by dragging them off the rulers or creating them from objects you've drawn.

If you wish to use the page tiling lines as margins, or need to move the printable area to center the page as it comes off a specific printer, use the Page tool.

The page tool is located underneath the Hand tool. Select it, then click and drag on your page to reset the printable area location. You can only change the size of the printable area by changing the sizes of paper associated with your printer driver.

Good luck
