Adobe Illustrator/best printer to use with illustrator 10-CS2

Question
Hi,

I currently have an iMac OS 10.3.9 with Adobe Illustrator 10 (soon to be upgraded to CS2). My problem is printing. I have made an ignorant mistake of purchasing a "non postscript" printer (Epson Stylus NX410) which will not print ANYTHING from Illustrator. I only found out about the "Postscript" part after emailing Epson for help. I have searched the net high and low to find the best small footprint desktop printer with postscript capability and have found nothing! What printer is the best (and most affordable) to use with my Illustrator that you know of or use yourself?

Thank you so much for being available to help.

Carol

Answer
Hi Carol,

There actually is a really easy way around this issue without buying a new printer. Save your AI file as a PDF an print the PDF file from either Acroabt (reader or pro) or Mac Preview.

If you need a new printer, anything from HP or Epson would be fine as long as you make sure it is PS compatible.

Thanks

Kevin
