hi

i get this error when i try to open an ai file. looks corrupt to me and i am unable to find a solution.

the error is "Can't open thye Illustration. The Illustration contains an illegal or misplaced operator. Offending Operator "_;"

Answer
Hi Robert,

It is corrupt. When you save your AI files, you have to make sure that "Create PDF Compatible File" remains checked in the AI document dialog box before you save. Unfortunately, it is a known bug and if it is turned off, you lose your file eventually.
