Adobe Illustrator/A Request for Update Programme
Expert: Amy - 5/4/2010
QuestionHello Amy!
I mean could the Illustrator update so that it can help to make "the Assigning a keyboard shortcut to a command"? For example, when I want to change the "Keyboard Increment", I must go to Edit-Preferences-General and then change the value in "Keyboard Increment". Instead I don't need to go to Edit-Preferences-General, can I make a menu or palette shortcut for the "Keyboard Increment or other command". As you were telling me I can't do so for AI CS3, but could it be updated for this in the latest version of AI CS...?
Thanks a lot and best wishes to you!
That's very kind of you to reply as quickly as expected!
Thank you very very much for being with me!
Yours sincerely,
TOUCH-LUCK
AnswerSorry, I did not understand you completely the first time.
You can create keyboard shortcuts for any menu command or tool. Go to Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts and you will see that you can add a key combination for any menu item or tool that does not already have one assigned.
Ctrl+K is the shortcut for the General Preferences and Keyboard Increment.
But you can't create a shortcut specifically to change the keyboard increment in either CS3 or CS4. I do not know about CS5 because I have not seen it yet =)
