QuestionQUESTION: Hi,
i am facing a problem in illustrator CS4,
i am working on a file on illustrator that contains a lot of linked pictures and whenever i open the file it looks like all the pictures are embeded which i dont want then i reopen the file and link all the pictures and i make sure that the Link box is checked when i relink....
Help!
kindly send the answer to my email
thank you
ANSWER: Hi Amale,
The images will not automatically embed. You cannot tell embedded from linked images just by looking at them, you will need to use the Links panel to confirm. The Links panel will show you exactly what is linked and what is embedded. I'm confident they have been linked all along.
Thanks

AnswerHi Amale,
How are you saving these files out? If you keep them as native .ai files they will not embed your images unless you check "Include Linked Files" in the save dialog box. If you are saving them out as a .pdf file, they will always embed your images when you save.
Thanks
