Adobe Illustrator/pixelation when printing from CS4.

Question

Distilled Image
Hi,

I'm having issues printing from Illustrator CS4. For my purposes I need to supply a separated Ps file. Normally I would print this from Illustrator and check the ps file by distilling it. However, this job has a combination of both overprint, opacity and Fx effects within the job elements. This seems to be causing pixelation issues of vector elements within the job when printed. I'm using acrobat 9 ppd as the driver. This job views fine when simply saving to a pdf.

Any ideas welcome.

Thanks

Answer
Hi Glen,

Make sure you have check the Effects>Document Effect Raster Settings are set to the proper ppi settings. Also when you are in your print dialog box, check the output settings to make sure they are set to high quality and not low.

Thanks
