Adobe Illustrator/Scale from Autocad into Illustrator CS4

Question
I've saved out a .dwg file from Autocad and trying to open it into Illustrator CS4, however the scaling ALWAYS comes out to be incorrect, is there a simple way to verify and check that the scaling is perfect.

Answer
Hi Kimberly,

Not sure why the scale would change at all, it's never been an issue for me. Whatever is the scale is set in Autocad is what comes into Illustrator.

But to verify the scale, place a legend/scale at the bottom of your illustration then measure it using the Measure Tool in CS4. I've seen people use a 1" line placed at the bottom to measure. You can then adjust using the Object>Scale menu.

Thanks
