Question
I know its possible because I have a few files that work this way.... however I cannot figure out how to do it myself.  I need to know how to save Tiffs in a way that the color properties can be changed.  I know how to keep it transparent, I just need to know how to save it in a way that I can change its colors in illustrator.  Thank you!

Answer
Hi Joshua,

In order to change the color of a TIF file in Illustrator, it will need to be saved out as a 1-bit bitmap TIF from Photoshop. You will need to convert it to Grayscale first, then Bitmap mode. Then save out as your TIF file and you will be able to adjust the colors in Illustrator.

Thanks
