Question
I am working on a PC and when I opened a previous file from yesterday, worked on it, tried to save it- it said "cannot save illustration" then says "your color setting are configured for Illustrator 6 compatible color management-then when I go to color settings- it ONLY gives me the option of Illustrator 6 to choose. when did that happen and what's going on? thanks-

Answer
Hi Symea,

Not sure but either it was saved down to Illustrator 6, or your AI has become corrupted. Try opening another document and see if you have the same issue. If you do, it is the application, not the file. If you can work in another document ok, trya Save as and choosing a newer version of Illustrator in the dialog box.

If resaving does not work, or is not an option, try restarting Illustrator holding down Shift+option+command (mac) or shift+alt+ctrl (windows) to reset your preferences. If that doesn't work, then a reinstallation may be needed.

Thanks

Kevin
