Question
I am very new ...  can't cutout an image from the background???  what am I doing wrong?

Answer
Hi Stephanie,

Without knowing what image you are using the best advice I can give you is Illustrator is not meant to edit photos or single images- that is what Photoshop is for. Illustrator is mainly used for editing and creating vector (paths and shapes) art. I have a feeling that you are using the wrong program.

If you feel that you are in the right place, write me back with a screen shot of the image attached and I can try and walk you through how to edit (if it is possible).

Thanks

Kevin
