Question
what are the features & limitations of the file formats & graphic image types produced using Adobe Illustrator

Answer
HI Leonard,

I'm not really sure the context of the question so I am going to give you my broad answer.

Adobe Illustrator is a Vector-based program which means it uses paths and shapes to create images. A vector image can be scaled or resized infinitely and retain it's quality which has many benefits over Raster art (Photoshop). The only limitation is the artist's skill. I have seen great photo-realistic pieces of art but obviously that takes years of practice and hours to create. The learning curve to use these tools effectively can be a challenge for some, but the payoff is well worth it.

Hopefully this helps.
