Question
What is the best and simplest way to give each outline (hair, skin, shirt, etc.) of a vectorized Illustrator character a different color?

Answer
Hi Pete,

The easiest way is to convert the items into a Live Paint Group by selecting the objects you wish to color - say the hair, then clicking on them with the Live Paint Bucket. You can then see highlighted areas that you will click to drop color into and you can use your L/R arrow keys to swap between colors in your swatches panel.

Thanks

Kevin
