Adobe Illustrator/Adobe Reader PDF

Question
My document is created in Illustrator CS4 and everything is perfectly fine until I save for pre-press.
I save as PDF/X-1a:2001 but after the PDF is saved and I open it, the border which was on my Illustrator document is missing.  Can you shed any light on this for me please Kevin?

Answer
Hi Bakey,

The "border" you are speaking of is the document bounds. It is there but it will not show up in a PDF, it will just be the document size. This is normal and unless you create a stroked shape the size of your document, it will not, nor should it show up.

Thanks

Kevin
