Adobe Illustrator/Batch image place

Question
Hey Kevin

I have a company that makes skins for phones, we need loads of artwork images putting onto devices to show what the artwork looks like on each device, we currently have 150 pieces of artwork and 64 devices!

Basically we can create clipping masks in illustrator to show where the artwork sits but cannot find a way to automate changing and saving the artwork so that we dont have to sit and manually make the 9,600 images needed for our website.

If you can help that would be awesome!!

Thanks in advance

Jacob

Answer
HI Jacob,

I would create a hollow image of the phone that you could record a cut and paste using action and use that to apply a layer over top of the image instead of trying to place an image inside the mask. Either way, you can find this under Window>Actions. There is no batch automate in Illustrator, but it is a step in the right direction.

Thanks

Kevin
