Adobe Illustrator/Illustrator CS5.5 will not open

Kevin,

I just bought Creative Suite CS5 Design Standard.  I loaded it and used Illustrator and Photoshop.  The next day I went to open Illustrator.  It does not open and seems stall during initializing the font menu at 90%.  I have 302 fonts on my computer.  I am working on OSX 10.7     Any suggestions?

Hi Misti,

Are you using a font manager (font explorer, suitcase)? If not your count may be wrong and you may have more than 300 fonts installed. Fonts are located in a number of places- User library, shared library, system, etc. Is illustrator the only app that stalls on the font load? How does indesign react?

Please let me know so I can narrow this down.
