Question
I have a file that was originally produced as a jpg.  I'm sending it to a company to make an award, but they require it to be eps.  I used a product to convert it and I'm not sure if it is true eps.  Is there a way to convert to a true eps file from jpg?

Answer
Hi Shirley,

Does your award company need a Vector eps file or just a raster eps file. Normally, when a company like this requests an .eps file it is because they need paths, points, etc. (Vector) to create the artwork for engraving. Ask them if they need vector artwork or just an eps image.

If you need to convert this to a Vector eps file, you will need to recreate it in Illustrator, however not know what I am dealing with, there are several ways to do this. If you could attach a sample of your art, I can explain how to recreate it using Illustrator. If you are using another application, Im not sure how they would handle it.

Thanks

Kevin
