Adobe Illustrator/Change Color settings

Lately Illustrator CS2 has been re-installed at my laptop. I use Illustrator to create a PDF. The PDF contains a text box with 2 or three lines of text in it. Always: the new PDF is based on the old PDF. The old PDF is about 680 to 690KB. When I open the old PDF I get the message: The embedded color profile in this document will be discarded, because your color settings are configured for Adobe Illustrator 6.0 compatible color management.
Embedded: U.S. Web Coated  (SWOP) V2. Two options: OK or cancel.
If I choose ok, the PDF will open. I will change some text and save it. But instead the PDF is only about 160KB in size.
Questions: How can I find out what color profile the old file has? How can I import the color profile into Illustrator CS2?

Hi Bert,

This really seems to be a non-issue as you are the first person to be concerned about the PDF being smaller. But, you can go into Edit Menu>Color Settings and change your color settings to General Purpose. That should match the old settings of US Web Coated (SWOP). What is happening is your new settings are different than the existing ones listed.

Honestly though if your PDFs are working out ok, I would be happy with a smaller sized file to manage.
