Amy:
Tried your suggestion, but nothing works.
The thumbnail image shows as I want it (cropped to 8.5 by 11, and rotated 90 degrees to fit on the page), but all combinations of various settings don't work.
I suspect that I will need to have the image rescanned from an 8 1/2 by 11 version, to avoid manipulating it with Acrobat and printer settings.
Thanks for "hanging in".
Have a good day.

Amy:
Thanks for the super speedy reply.
I am using Acrobat 7.
I tried Landscape, but the page still displays in portrait.
I will try it again.
Don't think there is a problem with my printer since I can do landscape or portrait on other non- Acrobat pages.

Amy:
Although this is a question regarding Acrobat, it is somewhat basic, so perhaps you have some insight or experience.
I have an Acrobat display which I would like to rotate 90 degrees in order to be able to print the contents on an 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of paper.
I can rotate the page on the screen, but the printing does not show the rotated page.
Any thoughts as to how that can be accomplished.
Hope you can help.

Hi Nick.
One question - are you using Acrobat Reader or Acrobat (full version)?
Anyway, Can't you achieve what you are talking about simply by choosing "Landscape" or "Portrait" from Print Setup?
Maybe I'm not grasping the problem completely - it's early for me.

HI again,
Okay, instead of just clicking Landscape in Print Setup, do this:
Click Print Setup >Properties (next to your Printer Name)
and look for a way to either rotate it or choose landscape from inside the printer properties.
We probably have different printers, so I can't tell you exactly what to look for.
Let me know?

AnswerGood luck, Nick.
I suspect that either Acrobat Reader or your printer driver is using some auto-rotate feature.
I have a similar problem with a Quark document that always generates rotated PDF files, so I know your pain.
Sorry I couldn't fix it for you!
