Question
I need to place text in a circle as part of a logo.

I can get it running around top outside edge of circle.

I can then get the same text to run around the bottom edge too as required - but only in the inside edge of the circle if I want it to be the right way up.

I need the text to run around the outside edge at the bottom.

Answer
Hey George -

You're almost there!  Get the text to the bottom of the circle like you're doing, then select the text and, in the Character Window, adjust the baseline shift of the text to -24 (or whatever number you need) to make it fall below the perimeter of the circle.

Let me know if that worked for you!

I can help troubleshoot your Illustrator 9 through CS3 (and most CS4) problems and suggest the best way to get the results you need. Although I can help with some installation issues, my forte is prepress and how to use the tools and functions in the application itself.

I've been a graphic artist for over 20 years. Oh my God, 20 years.
