I'm actually using V10 but thought that you might have an answer for me anyway... Lately everytime I save my eps file, it automatically outlines everything... When I go back to the file to revise it, I basically have to start from scratch. When I start a project, when I select something with the pointer, the image box is blue, but after I save and Illustrator has outlined everything, the image box is red. Any ideas?

Hi Adam,

I just thought of something - are you by chance saving back to version 8 compatible when you save as EPS?

Check your EPS options during a 'save as' to make sure that you are not.  This will produce the error you're experiencing.
