Adobe Illustrator/Creating a Multiple page file

Question
Hi! I have CS3 on a PC. I read your answer on creating a multiple file in AI.  Would I go through the same process for a 32 pg picture book? I also have InDesign, but I am clueless as to how to use both programs.  What I really want to do is place my paintings in the right places with a 1/2 inch border on the edges of each page and then the images with a sidebar on some pages and text at the bottom- and all of that with a clear black outline to separate border from sidebar, sidebar from image, and image from text.  It seemed like a simple concept, but now it seems very difficult to create.  I would greatly appreciate any help.
Thanks!

Answer
Hi Megan,

Definitely use InDesign. That is a simple InDesign page layout. I'm not a big user of InDesign, though, so I can't really step you through it.

But take a look at this easy-to-follow tutorial I found online for you:

That should make it easier!

Good luck!

Expertise

I can help troubleshoot your Illustrator 9 through CS3 (and most CS4) problems and suggest the best way to get the results you need. Although I can help with some installation issues, my forte is prepress and how to use the tools and functions in the application itself.

Experience

I've been a graphic artist for over 20 years. Oh my God, 20 years.
