Adobe Illustrator/Editing a logo created in Adobe Acrobat Professional (I think)

Question
Can you please tell me how to take a logo we had created in Adobe Acrobat Professional and edit out the name of one of our subsidiary groups? Thanks!

Answer
Hi James!

The logo was probably created in Illustrator or PhotoShop and saved as a PDF document. The best thing to do would be to find the native file (*.AI file, for example) and do the editing in there.

But you can open PDFs in Illustrator. So if you have Illustrator, just open the file in there and delete the info you don't want.

This could also be done in PhotoShop. Just remember to save the modified file at a nice high resolution.

Hope this helps. If you want, you can e-mail me the file and instructions for editing out what you don't need and I'll take care of it for you. Send it to AmyLynPace@yahoo.com and I will take a look!

Expertise

I can help troubleshoot your Illustrator 9 through CS3 (and most CS4) problems and suggest the best way to get the results you need. Although I can help with some installation issues, my forte is prepress and how to use the tools and functions in the application itself.

I've been a graphic artist for over 20 years. Oh my God, 20 years.
