Question
HELLO

I'm currently studying typograghpy and want to make my own font.

I wonder if it is possible to export myown fonts as a TTF-file in Illustrator? I know you can do it in Corel Draw with the TTF export filter, but I don't have access to it. Can the same be done in Illustrator?

Answer

damaged outlines after TTF-Export from Fontographer 4.1

Hello,
I got a special problem with fontographer. I have to create a corporate font with all logotypes of a newspaper company in it. These logotypes are very complex and consist of many letters f.e. "BRAUNSCHWEIGER ZEITUNG". I imported the logos as illustrator.3-eps and they appear correctly in fontographer (I have to do my work on a mac, the target platform is a PC). The outlines of the finished TT-Font are slightly damaged. Curves are not exact and some curves are broken. Has anybody got an idea how to avoid this problem? Thanx
