Adobe Illustrator/Fitting a border to a page

Question
I have created a border with artwork that I have purchased and need to find a way to fit in into the page size.  It currently cuts off the right side no matter how I move the graphics around.  I know some programs do a process which fits the item to the screen and centers it and everything - does Adobe Ill CS2 do that?  If not, what is the best method to make sure I get everything on the page?

Answer
Hi Kris,

Sorry for the delay.

Yes, CS2 has a "Fit to Page" option that's available after you Choose File>Print from the menu.

You might get some distortion if the difference between your border width and page width is too great.

But if it's a raster image border, there's little you can do to fix that, short of retouching/recreating the border in PhotoShop.

Hope this helps!

Expertise

I can help troubleshoot your Illustrator 9 through CS3 (and most CS4) problems and suggest the best way to get the results you need. Although I can help with some installation issues, my forte is prepress and how to use the tools and functions in the application itself.

Experience

I've been a graphic artist for over 20 years. Oh my God, 20 years.
