Answer
Hello Hazar,

Unfortunately, in order to use Arabic right-to-left reading fonts with the Adobe applications for Mac, you would have needed to purchase the Middle Eastern (ME) version of the Adobe Creative Suite.

Maybe you could contact your vendor and exchange your copy the ME version.  That depends on how nice your vendor is and how long ago you purchased your copy.

I think you can place/paste Hebrew or Arabic text from Microsoft Word into Illustrator CS or InDesign CS (another product in Creative Suite). It will look as if it reads right to left, but the glyphs will be reversed... probably not very helpful if you are creating a large document in Arabic. I can't test this for you, as I work on a PC and fonts are handled differently.

Good luck

I can help troubleshoot your Illustrator 9 through CS3 (and most CS4) problems and suggest the best way to get the results you need. Although I can help with some installation issues, my forte is prepress and how to use the tools and functions in the application itself.

I've been a graphic artist for over 20 years. Oh my God, 20 years.
