Question
Hi,
How do I create a hyperlink in Illustrator? I am using the CS version, PC.

I was asked to create a banner for a website. I created the banner, but I do not know how to make the web address into a hyperlink.

Please help.

Answer
Hi there Kay!

A couple ways to do this, I guess.

You could add the imagemap w/ hyperlinks in Dreamweaver?

Otherwise, here's a very nice little step-by-step on how to use the Attributes window to add hyperlinks.
Note: It is two pages.  I missed the second page at first and was kind of left hanging.  =)

If you can't see the page, you might have to log in or register at adobe.com.  It's free and a great resource, so I suggest you do that!

If this doesn't work or answer your question, please let me know!

I can help troubleshoot your Illustrator 9 through CS3 (and most CS4) problems and suggest the best way to get the results you need. Although I can help with some installation issues, my forte is prepress and how to use the tools and functions in the application itself.

I've been a graphic artist for over 20 years. Oh my God, 20 years.
