Question
I'm trying to import excel charts into Illustrator.  I've been successful for most of the charts except one. The program gives me the MSP parser cannot parse the the file.  I am working on a PC.  What do I do?

Hi Dawn.

Are you cutting them from Illustrator and pasting them?

I'd try a couple things. Try copying the chart from Excel, pasting into Word, then copying from Word and pasting into Illustrator.

Also/alternately try copying/pasting it from its Excel Worksheet into a new Excel worksheet, then copying it from the new worksheet and pasting into Illustrator.

If this fails, you could try recreating the chart.

Don't know if you've got a PS printer or Adobe PDF printer defined in your Printer setups, but another thought is to print it to a PS printer (not an inkjet) but print it to a PS file (by marking the little Print to File box after you File>Print. Once it's a PS file, you can open it with Illustrator. Of course, if you have Adobe PDF printer installed on your machine, you probably wouldn't be asking this question???  =)

Feel free to throw the Excel chart file my way and I'll see if I can get it into AI for you.
