I am doing computer-aided design (CAD) in Adobe Illustrator CS2 for a piece of clothing and I have been given Pantone colors for the clothing. Two colors for example are: a pinkish color I think...pantone #18-1741 and a Sage color...pantone #16-5807.

I have not had any luck finding these colors in Adobe Illustrator CS2's Pantone color swatches...are they available? If not, is there a way to translate these Pantone colors to hex values in Illustrator?

Hi AnneMarie,

I don't recognize either of these numbers in the Pantone Matching System. The standard numbers for PMS colors are either 3 or 4 digit.
Is there a swatch of the clothing available?  If so I would match it up to the Pantone formula guide.  That's the next easiest thing to do if the person doesn't have the Pantone #.
