Adobe Illustrator/Plastic Wrap

Question
Hi, is there a way to get rid of the dark circle that automatically appears in the middle of my illustrator image when I apply the 'plastic wrap'?  Thank you!

Answer
Hi Beth,

What does the image look like? The plastic wrap filter does cast a ton of shadows upon the subject it's filtering. That's what it's supposed to do. I've never had it put a really dark circle on my artwork though. That's why I'm curious as to what your image looks like. If you want, mail a copy to me at my yahoo address (AmyLynPace@yahoo.com) and I'll take a look!

Have you tried applying the filter to the image in PhotoShop and then placing the artwork into Illustrator?

Thanks
Amy

I can help troubleshoot your Illustrator 9 through CS3 (and most CS4) problems and suggest the best way to get the results you need. Although I can help with some installation issues, my forte is prepress and how to use the tools and functions in the application itself.

I've been a graphic artist for over 20 years. Oh my God, 20 years.
