Question
I work on a G4 with MacOS 9.1 sytem
I am having problems wuth Adobe Illustrator 9.0
When I try to open a specif Illustrator file I get  a message that says not enough memory to open the illustration. The file weights only 20 MB, and even though I can't open that file I can open heavier ones.
Could you please help me with this problem?

Answer
Hi there,

Well, this is a documented bug.  You saved the file while the window was minimized. Avoid that from now on. =)

To get your file back, open a NEW BLANK Illustrator document and PLACE (do not link) the offending file into it.  Re-save it as a new document.

Then upgrade to 9.0.3 - fixes the bug.

Good luck,
Amy

Expertise

I can help troubleshoot your Illustrator 9 through CS3 (and most CS4) problems and suggest the best way to get the results you need. Although I can help with some installation issues, my forte is prepress and how to use the tools and functions in the application itself.

Experience

I've been a graphic artist for over 20 years. Oh my God, 20 years.
