Question
Hello,
I cannot save my file, it tells me that it cannot save the .pdf version the pop up window states the dimensions of this page are out of range. Because this step cannot occur I am not able to successfully save the .ai version.
Thanks in advance.

Answer
Hi Julia!

That's a strange problem. You've probably already given up on the problem... but if not...

Try selecting ALL of your artwork and pasting it into a new document and then saving. Does that work?

If not, try saving without PDF compatibility - you'll see this option when you save.

Can you save as an EPS file?

Have you gone into your PDF setup preferences (where this is depends on the version you're using) and checked to make sure that you have selected a reasonably sized piece of paper/PDF document size - letter or tabloid or other?

I don't want to give you any suggestions that involve quitting Illustrator, since you may still have your unsaved document open. But if you have no other alternatives, you can try to re-set the Illustrator preferences.

1 - Quit AI
2 - Locate and delete the AIprefs file from your computer
3 - Restart AI

You may choose to move the AIprefs file to the desktop instead of deleting it. That way, if this troubleshooting step doesn't work, you can simply QUIT AI again and move the file back to its original location, overwriting the new AIprefs file that has been created. That way, you don't lose all your favorite settings.

Well, I hope something I have suggested helps!
